Lucas Black to replace Paul Walker?

“The Fate of the Furious” trailer has released recently, giving birth to a lot of theories about the storyline. One among them is about Lucas Black’s role, which says that he will replace Paul Walker in the eighth instalment of the franchise.

For long, speculations were doing the rounds that some characters from previous “Fast and Furious” movies will return in the next instalment of the franchise. It seems that the rumours were all true as the released trailer of “The Fate of the Furious” shows a brief glimpse of Lucas Black, who played Sean Boswell in “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”

Certainly, no one can ever replace Paul Walker. However, it is suspected that Lucas Black’s role has been incorporated in “The Fate of the Furious” in order to compensate for Paul Walker’s role. It remains uncertain as to what character he will play in the forthcoming chapter but it is said that the Tokyo street racer will take over O’Conner’s place as Toretto’s new buddy.

Even the trailer of “The Fate of the Furious” shows that Sean Bosewell will join the team in order to “save” Dom. To elaborate, the trailer revealed that Dom betrayed his family by setting up Luke Hobbs to take the fall for their latest job. Furthermore, he is seen aligning himself with villainous Cipher. Thereafter, Dom’s team reunites in order to save their former leader. Lucas Black’s Sean Boswell will also join them.

Sean Bosewell in Tokyo Drift essayed the role of a bad-boy outlaw hailing from Texas. He was sent to Tokyo in order to clean up his act. Furthermore, he played a small role, rather a cameo, in Furious 7.

Since grapevine is abuzz with rumours that Lucas Black has signed for Fast 9 and Fast 10 as well, it is expected that his role in “The Fate of the Furious” will be a prominent one. If his role will be as pivotal as of Paul Walker’s only time will tell. Meanwhile, “The Fate of the Furious” is slated to hit the screens in Australia on April 12, 2017.

Wiz Khalifa opens up about Paul Walker tribute song

Wiz Khalifa has opened up about his tribute song for Paul Walker in the latest Fast and Furious film, saying it “connects with so many people”.

His song See You Again was used in the Furious 7 soundtrack , reportedly as Paul is seen driving off into the distance with the hit playing in the background.

The poignant tune, which features Charlie Puth on vocals, has since become the quickest-selling single of the year.

In an interview with BET, Wiz said of its growing success: “The fact that it connects with so many people, that’s what is really, really important for me so I’m f**king with it.”

He explained vocalist Charlie initially wrote the lyrics about a friend who died in a car crash, and Wiz later took it over.

He told the site: “My whole objective [when writing See You Again] was to make something that everybody can connect with. It feels personal, but it’s something that everybody can feel too. It’s not so personal that you’re disconnected to it. Basically, that was my mind frame for it. Think about family in general. Not necessarily my family or someone else’s family that everybody goes through in that situation.”

He added: “I had a lot of good direction from the Fast & Furious people as far as the texture of the song and how they wanted it to feel. What was most important, too, was to make sure that it was a celebration of life. You know, to reflect on things, but also just to celebrate what we’ve been through.”

Paul Walker was killed in a car crash on 30 November 2013 when the Porsche he was travelling in as a passenger hit a tree and caught fire.

The track marks Khalifa’s second appearance at the top of the Official Singles Chart after reaching the summit back in 2012 guesting on Maroon 5’s Payphone.

See You Again also sets a new streaming record, racking up 3.68 million streams in seven days and smashing past Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do.

The news comes as it was revealed that Fast and Furious 7 has officially become the fastest film to make $1 billion at the box office.

Cody Walker Interview

Paul Walker’s younger brother Cody Walker has opened up about the actor’s death. The 25-year-old paramedic still can’t believe that Paul is already gone.

Cody is sharing Paul’s role with their brother Caleb to help complete the production for “Fast & Furious 7.” Paul already completed most of his scenes in the film as Brian O’Conner, but there are still a few scenes left that need to be filmed.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Cody has opened up about how Paul’s untimely passing is affecting them all.

Right now, a whole lot of time has not gone by yet,” Cody said, referring to the November 30 accident that claimed his brother’s life at age 40.

“It still doesn’t feel real, because sometimes, working in this industry, making films, he’d be away from his family three, four, six months at a time, you know. And my only interaction would be a phone call. So I know it’s going to take a while. It’s going to take a few years before it feels real.”

Cody’s voice cracked while talking fondly about Paul. He praised his famous brother, saying he had lived a modest life and had treated people like a close friend.

“Anyone that’s ever met Paul, he’d never met a stranger in his life,” an emotional Cody continued. “He was so low-key, he had lived such a modest life. He would tell me how he was jealous of me because I still have my anonymity… it was so funny to hear that come from him.”

When asked about the details of his and 36-year-old Caleb’s involvement in “Fast & Furious 7,” Cody declined, saying he couldn’t talk about it.

He talked about Paul’s latest completed film, “Brick Mansions,” though.

“Paul had been training in martial arts for many, many years. Brazilian jujitsu was his choice and when he came across this film, what an awesome opportunity to work alongside the founder of Parkour and to showcase some of his cool martial arts, the foot chases, the fight scenes.”

“Brick Mansions” is released on Friday, April 25, in the U.S., while “Fast & Furious 7” is expected to hit theatres on April 10 in 2015.
